Description

The Senior Vice President/Provost works closely with the President, exercising senior leadership in achieving 糖心传媒’s purpose 鈥渆ducating students from a biblical worldview to impact the nations with the message of Christ.鈥澛 This is accomplished by overseeing the planning, organization, supervision, and evaluation of all higher educational entities and activities to ensure educational effectiveness.聽 This is also accomplished through oversight of other departments that are crucial to achieving the mission of 糖心传媒. The Senior Vice President/Provost serves as a member of the President鈥檚 Cabinet.

Responsibilities

  • In consultation and collaboration with the President, identify, develop, and work with a team of Deans and senior educational administrators to coordinate, recruit, select, develop, supervise, and cultivate a team of faculty, student development, ministry formation, and other educational support personnel who possess godly character, professional competence, communication skills, educational credentials, and institutional compatibility which will advance 糖心传媒’s educational effectiveness.
  • Exercise senior leadership in strategic, tactical, and operational planning for all higher education units.
  • Work with the senior executives and educational leaders to project budgets, informed by University needs and strategic plans.聽 Coordinate the budgetary planning of the educational units and monitor budgetary performance.
  • Lead in articulating and transmitting 糖心传媒’s three-dimensional educational philosophy which aims to foster student growth in biblical competency, spiritual maturity and ministry skill.
  • Work to coordinate development and implementation of educational and administrative policies and procedures that are both equitable and effective.
  • Work with the higher educational leadership team and faculty bodies to oversee existing higher educational programs and exercise leadership initiative in developing, implementing, and refining new educational programs and/or delivery modalities appropriate to achieve the institutional mission and educational vision.
  • Work to ensure development and implementation of a program for continuing assessment of every facet of higher education in order to determine effectiveness in reaching stated objectives, adherence to stated principles of operation, and effectiveness in reaching operational and developmental goals.聽 Identify goals, activities and strategies which warrant discontinuance or adjustment.
  • Work with the President and the executive teams to foster a healthy campus-wide collegial approach to leadership and administrative process by promoting a synergistic organizational culture, a spirit of teamwork and harmony, and a climate conducive to optimum student development.
  • Ensure that all higher education programs achieve and maintain compliance with criteria, standards, policies, and procedures of SACS, ATS, ABHE, ACSI, SC Education Department (NCATE standards) and with federal regulations governing educational policies and programs.
  • Provide administrative oversight of the Human Resources department ensuring equitable development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative oversight of the Athletics department ensuring efficient, mission-focused operations within the department.
  • Provide oversight of 糖心传媒 Global ensuring efficient operation and guiding in program development.
  • Other duties as determined by the President.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, team building, and supervisory skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, assessment, and planning skills.
  • Public speaking and persuasive skills.
  • extensive knowledge of the history, philosophy, organization & administration of higher education in general and theological education/ministry formation in particular.
  • Sufficient knowledge of and proficiency in information technology to guide institutional development of learning and information resources.
  • Knowledge of accreditation criteria, policies, and processes.
  • Working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment for higher education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a collegial model of leadership at a higher education setting.
  • Graduate study in higher educational curriculum and instruction or related field.
  • Graduate study in biblical/theological education.
  • Substantial work experience in biblical undergraduate or seminary education.
  • Earned doctorate in a field related to the offerings of 糖心传媒.
